The Life of a Yogi

7-Day Bali Retreat 23 April - 01 May 2027

A Yogi Lives From the Inside Out.

The Life of a Yogi is an immersion into the foundational practices and principles of a yogic life — a way of living that places awareness, clarity, self-knowledge, balance and harmony at its centre.

Through daily yoga and meditation practice, wisdom teachings, full-body nourishment and time to just be, you'll have the opportunity to explore a deeper relationship with yourself and the world around you.

Whether you are looking to restore your sense of wellness, deepen your spiritual practice or enjoy a meaningful holiday with like-minded people, you are welcome here.

This is a time to step out of the everyday and experience life from the inside out.

This retreat is designed with you in mind.

Everything is here for you to enjoy and explore, with the freedom to participate in as much or as little of the daily programme as you wish.

The Daily Lifestyle Practices

Yoga

Core Balance Yoga — Morning | 8:00–9:00 am

Jenni's signature class for full-body energy, balance and rejuvenation.

Yin, Restorative & Stretch Yoga — Evening | 6:00–7:00 pm

Pranayama, Yoga Nidra and other traditional yogic practices are woven throughout the yoga schedule.

Classes are gentle and suitable for all levels, with variations offered to accommodate different needs and experience.

Yoga and Vedanta Philosophy

Four dedicated discourses that explore how food and energy influence our consciousness, the different layers of our being, the nature of the mind and how our thoughts, energy and sense of identity shape our experience of life, and the four traditional paths of yoga — Karma, Bhakti, Jnana and Raja Yoga — towards Self-realisation.

Discover how working consciously with your energy can influence your mind, deepen concentration and open the way to higher states of awareness, insight and lasting peace.

Sattvic Plant-Based Food

Enjoy fresh, wholesome, plant-based meals prepared with nourishing ingredients and inspired by the yogic principles of sattvic food. Each meal is an opportunity to nourish your body, mind, and support your practice.

In the yogic tradition, the preparation, quality and manner of eating are all considered part of spiritual practice. Food is understood as an opportunity to cultivate sattva — the qualities of clarity, harmony and balance in the mind.

Daily guided meditation and group practice, including instruction in the Hong-Sau technique taught by Paramahansa Yogananda, alongside other traditional yogic practices.

An opportunity to experience these ancient techniques, deepen your meditation practice and develop a routine you can carry into everyday life.

Morning: 6:15–6:45 am | Evening: 7:15–7:45 pm

Meditation

Beyond the Shala — Exploring Bali

Waterfall Visit

A 45-minute practice including preparatory breathing techniques, guided meditation and space for meditative stillness. Time for Q&A to support your meditations. No experience is necessary.

A weekly gathering to read and discuss the wisdom and teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda through his book, Autobiography of a Yogi. All reading materials are supplied

Ubud Culture

Sanur Beach

A monthly gathering dedicated to shared spiritual inquiry, guest presentations, and open discussions exploring practical living wisdom and the inner life.

The Environment

A Located in the heart of UBUD This is where we introduce the retreat venue and give people a sense of the place they'll be staying.

I'd structure it with:

  • One beautiful, wide photograph of the retreat property.

  • A short introduction to the setting and its surroundings.

  • A few supporting photographs showing the accommodation, yoga shala, gardens and pool.

Because we're still deciding between Basundari and Floating Leaf, we can leave this section until the venue is confirmed.

A Space to Just Be

At the heart of yoga is the pure joy of being.

And for you, that can be expressed in many different ways:

  • Relax by the pool.

  • Enjoy a traditional Balinese massage.

  • Take a walk or explore the local surroundings.

  • Spend an afternoon at the beach.

  • Share good food, conversation and play.

  • Read a book or simply do nothing at all.

Enjoy the freedom to follow your own rhythm, find pleasure in the simple things and make the most of being in Bali, free from the pressures of the usual routine.
